Capital Sacco was started in 1972 as a section of the Meru Farmers’ Cooperative Union LTD and sought to serve members of the affiliated dairy and coffee societies. In 2005, it split from the said cooperative and became Meru    Farmers’ Sacco. It then later on rebranded to Capital Sacco to incorporate not only farmers but also entrepreneurs, youth and children from all parts of Kenya.

Capital Sacco Savings Products

Capital Sacco has several savings products designed to encourage members to save and meet their financial needs. These include;

  2. Current account
  3. Bidii account
  4. Junior account
  5. Group account
  6. Shared deposit account
  7. Ordinary account

Capital Sacco Loan Products

The loan products of capital Sacco are designed to ensure the members grow financially at a cost that is affordable. There are conditions to each loan which my vary from loan to loan. Here are the available loans;

  6. Micro-credit loan
  7. Tea bonus plus loan

How to Join Capital Sacco

The membership of Capital Sacco has been opened to the members of the public and one can easily join the sacco by following these steps.

  • Fill membership application form
  • Pay registration fee of Kshs. 200
  • Purchase a minimum of 30 shares @ Kshs. 100
  • Continuous accumulation of shares

Capital Sacco Paybill Number 520100

Capital Sacco paybill number 520100 enables members to contribute their shares and pay loans easily without the need to visit the sacco physically. Here is how to use the pay bill number to access the services conveniently;

  • Go to M-PESA menu in your SIM tool kit or Safaricom app
  • Select lipa na m-pesa
  • Select pay bill
  • Enter Capital Sacco paybill number 520100 as the business number
  • Enter your ID number as the account number
  • Enter amount you wish to deposit
  • Put in your pin. Verify the details then send
  • Send

You will receive a confirmation message form Safaricom

Capital Sacco Mobile Banking

The Sacco has plans to introduce a banking app that will allow its users to have a personalized banking experience ie; They will get real-time alerts or updates through the app
