Chuna Sacco was registered in 1976 by the Commissioner of Cooperative Development. The main objectives that led to its formation were to provide its members with an opportunity to save money and to offer credit facilities It offers both Back Office Service Activities (BOSA) and Front Office Service Activities (FOSA).
Membership Of Chuna Sacco
Membership is open to all employees of University of Nairobi as well as the Chuna Sacco staff. A membership fee of 500 shillings is paid upon acceptance as a member.

- Go to M-PESA menu in your SIM tool kit or Safaricom app
- Select lipa na m-pesa
- Select pay bill
- Enter Chuna Sacco paybill number 561999 as the business number
- Enter your ID number or member number as the account number
- Enter amount you wish to deposit
- Put in your pin. Verify the details then send
- You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom on the success of your transaction and from the Sacco.
