Kimisitu Sacco was formed in March 1985 by a group of employees from ICRAF. The main reason for its formation was to promote thrift among its members by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings and consequently create a pool of funds from which loans can be given to them exclusively for productive purposes at fair interest rates.

Here is how to use the pay bill number to access services conveniently;
- Go to M-PESA menu
- Select pay bill
- Enter Kimisitu Sacco Paybill Number 911200
- Enter your ID number and transaction code as the account number.
- Enter amount you wish to pay
- Enter your M-PESA pin
- Confirm details and press OK
- Wait for an SMS confirmation from Safaricom

The Sacco has a mobile app known as M-KIMISITU that allows members to carry out transactions from the comfort of their homes or offices.
To be able to access this platform, members need to fill the application form and submit it physically to the Sacco offices and from there, their account will be created after which an SMS with a default PIN will be sent to their device. Once the default PIN is sent, they will be required to change it to their most preferred PIN and they can then start enjoying the services on the platform.
