Ardhi Sacco was registered on 5th October 1971. The ministry of land and settlement was the common bond of its members but due to government restructuring and transfers, the Sacco common bond was opened and it now has members from all government institutions, the private sector, groups as well as individuals.

The primary goal of forming Ardhi Sacco was to enable members access loan and this has been achieved by development of highly specialized loan products for its members. This includes;

Members can now make deposits to their bank accounts easily and at their convenience through the use of Ardhi Sacco paybill number 307750. Here is how to use the pay bill number to access the services conveniently;
- Go to M-PESA Menu
- Select Pay Bill from your M-PESA menu
- Enter Ardhi Sacco Pay bill number 307 750
- Enter Ardhi Sacco Account Number e.g. (122xx44) Do not include hyphens.
- Enter the amount you wish to pay
- Enter your M-PESA PIN
- Confirm details are correct and press OK
- You will then receive a confirmation message from Safaricom
Ardhi Sacco M-Sacco Services *879#
M-Sacco is the mobile banking services provided by the Ardhi Sacco to its members. It enables access to the bank account by dialing the Ardhi Sacco USSD code *879# on the mobile phone. By dialing the code, members are able to access the following services;
- Balance inquiry for all products eg loans, shares or savings
- Money transfer from FOSA account to M-PESA
- Purchase of airtime
- Access to mobile loans
- Payments e.g loans, deposits and savings
- Information on loans guaranteed, next of kin, savings and loan balances
