Imarika is a Kiswahili word meaning “become stable.” This is the promise that the Sacco makes to its members that they shall work hand in hand to ensure steady growth and stability. It was founded in 1972 as Malindi Teachers’ Sacco and then as Kilifi Teachers’ Sacco as more members from Kilifi County joined. The Sacco has now grown to a membership of more than 110 000 members both in Kenya and in the Diaspora.

To make a deposit using Imarika Sacco paybill number 404404, follow these steps

  • Go to M-PESA menu in your SIM tool kit or Safaricom app
  • Select lipa na m-pesa
  • Select pay bill
  • Enter Imarika Sacco paybill number 404404 as the business number
  • Enter your ID number or member number as the account number
  • Enter the amount you wish to deposit
  • Put in your pin. Verify the details then send
  • You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom on the success of your transaction and the Sacco.
