How To Create NTSA TIMS Account

NTSA is tasked with ensuring all road safety regulations are followed. It is also tasked with ensuring that all powered vehicles are registred and inspected for roadworthiness periodically usually yearly or as directed.

In order to access this services, you need to have a TIMS account (Transport Integrated Management System). You can create a TIMS account easily by following these steps:

Step 1: Go to the NTSA website http://www.ntsa.go.ke/

Step 2: Select the TIMS option from the available options. The other one is for the NTSA Index website.

Step 3: After selecting the TIMS option, you will be directed to https://tims.ntsa.go.ke/ where you will complete the registration.

Step 4: On the interface, select register an account since you do not have an account.

Step 5: Select the option applicable to you such as individual, dealer, agent, financial institution, company or driving school.

Step 6: Confirm citizenship status and provide the serial number of your registration document. The registration documents may include; ID number, Alien ID number, Diplomatic ID number, user name or certificate of incorporation.

Step 7: Input the KRA PIN number, telephone number, profession and your mothers maiden name. This maiden name will be used to verify the KRA PIN you have given is actually yours to avoid forgery.

Step 8: You will get a verification code to the mobile phone that you have provided for registration.

Step 9: Enter the verification code received to complete the registration process.

Step 10: When the registration is complete, you will be taken to the home page. Click on log-in and enter the user name or ID that you have used to register then click get code and log in. This article here walks you through how to log in to NTSA TIMS account.
